San Francisco's Annual Restaurant Week is just around the corner—January 21-30th—and there are a bunch of Mama's Guide favorites on the list along with plenty of new places we plan to try! All the participating restaurants have their menus online for your perusal, and we want to help you narrow down your options. If you want to get out for a great meal with the little ones here are our suggestions for stroller friendly options:
Beach Chalet
E&O Kitchen & Bar
MarketBar
Pacific Catch (my review)
Sauce-Belden
Sparrow (my review)
Make sure you follow my tips to get the most out of your dining-with-kids experience:
- Make a reservation—be sure to note if you are bringing a child and will need a high chair or space for a stroller
- Book an "off peak" meal time—think late lunch or early dinner when restaurants are not as crowded
- Aim for weekdays if possible, again to avoid the crowds
- Have fun!
Of course if you want to make it a night out, spring for a babysitter and enjoy date night at these places:
Bluestem Brasserie (my review)
Burritt Room & Tavern (make sure you have a drink at the bar too!)
Farallon
First Crush
Le Colonial
Red Dog
After sitting it out last year I'm super excited for this year's Restaurant Week. In addition to eating at a few new places, I also have reservations at State Bird Provisions, which isn't on this week but has been at the top of my list for almost a year! I'm so excited to start the year at some of San Francisco's best restaurants. Bon appetit!
